These boho bracelets are hand made from original vintage Moroccan Wedding blankets, each blanket is a one-of-a-kind hand made piece from which only a limited number of unique items can be made, so every bracelet is a very special and original statement piece.
This vintage handira bracelet features a pink and brown woven design embellished with silver metal sequins. The bracelet is fastened at the back with is a tie made from natural cotton cord.
Known as Moroccan wedding blankets, Handira are woven by Berber women in the Middle Atlas Mountains of Northern Morocco in anticipation of a wedding. The delicate process of hand-weaving is thought to endow the textile with baraka, or blessings. When complete, the wedding blanket serves not only as warmth and decoration for the bride, but also to ward off evil and to bestow good luck upon the newlyweds.
